The Open Door Centre

The centre provides food and clothing laundry services shelter during the day counselling referrals to professional mental health and drug addiction counsellors and employment assistance.

In 1993 we opened the st albans night shelter and led the development of the open door accommodation and drop in centre in bricket road. The open door centre. We do this by providing a range of activities within a safe supportive and non judgemental environment and members are involved in every level of decision making about the running of the centre. The open door is a drop in centre providing services to homeless and low income people in downtown montreal.

Supporting young people and young adults ages 15 30. At the open door centre we make support available with regards to depression and anxiety in a way which is friendly laid back informal and the antitheses of the traditional medical clinical gp waiting. Our opening hours are from 9 00 am 2 00 pm. The open door centre exists to make a positive difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities enabling our members to achieve their highest potential.

The open door centre provides bespoke mental health support for people aged 15 to 30 who are dealing with panic attacks stress and low mood. The trustees are absolutely delighted to announce that the open door centre café is now open. The charity currently funds two support roles based at open door. We continue to make grants to improve the facilities.

If you are aged 15 30 you can become a member and then access as many of our services as you like including creative therapeutic support if you are feeling down low stressed or anxious numerous different activities within music and the arts unique training and volunteering opportunities and much more. We work on a membership format. We provide free immediate creative therapeutic support through our mentor led cbt programme bazaar in relation to feeling down stressed anxious or experiencing panic. Primarily young people but with no age limits and open to all ages.

Open door centre exists to empower young people to make critical life decisions. All our services are free and confidential. We work with other local charities and services to assist people at risk of homelessness. The centre provides its clients with the information resources advocacy emotional physical and spiritual support they need.
